Packing and Shipping starts this weekend!

Hi everyone,
Good news! We have received all the hard copies and merchandise.
Now Lyndon and I (and some helpers) will be packaging everything up and shipping this weekend.
UK recipients should start receiving their rewards next week, then EU and Rest of the World after that.
Thank you for waiting so patiently for your rewards. We wanted to get everything out earlier than this, but COVID has slowed down a lot of the normal lead times, and being honest there some things I'd do differently next time to speed this process up. Lessons learnt all round.
All that's left now is a short wait and to keep an eye on your mailbox.

These are the physical proofs so we can check them for final final errors before we print. A few minor cosmetics identified by the eagle-eyed Lyndon and we're about to push the button to order...

A few weeks since the our update and some good news...!
Printing
We've been going through the book with a fine tooth comb and finding little tweaks and mistakes to correct. We've also got a guest contribution foreword and have been finishing the extra eight pages of content.
The final proofs are now with the printer and, before we order all the softcover and hard cover copies, we'll have an individual proof of both editions which we'll review before pushing the button for the total amount. This means..
Timelines
We should have the books with us by the end of the month, or early September. Being honest, it's a little later than we'd anticipated but hopefully the care and attention applied to the final product will make it worth it and we're still on track for the September fulfilment target.
We will release the PDF and digital content at the end of August, then there'll be a day or two of postage because there's plenty of...
Merchandise
The badges, stickers and patches have arrived! I'm particularly happy with the patches which took a little longer to arrive, but look fantastic. Check out some pictures below.
Finally...
Chapter2
The first draft of chapter two is now complete and with the initial round of edits. Bearing in mind Chapter One was ten edits in the end, I'd expect there's still some way to go. There's going to be hellishly fantastic scenes for Lyndon to work on.

Time for an update

Hi everyone,
Thought I'd take the chance to offer an update on progress...
Book Design:
Final edits and proofing are nearly done and we aim to send the book to print in the next week. There's been a few delays putting the final touches together, but we are still expecting delivery of the product before end August, so we're on track.
Merchandise:
This is a little trickier as some items are on longer lead times due to Covid. With a fair wind we'll get everything by end of August, but there's a risk it'll stray into early September, so we'll keep you posted. A5 prints, posters, etc are OK, but the patches are the risk factor here.
Packaging:
Extra protective cardboard envelopes have arrived (in much bigger parcels than I'd anticipated) and new label printer ordered (to save me cutting sellotape or battling with pritt stick). I've just ordered some recyclable / compostable protective bags to protect the products even more and keep things eco-friendly.
Chapter #2:
And while holding down the day job, I'm about half way through the first full script for Chapter #2. Lyndon and I had a chat about it and the direction it's taking and we're very excited about it.
That's all for now. There's still a few surveys left, but mostly on digital editions which makes it a bit easier to handle. I'll chase down the rest over the next few weeks. We'll probably lock down addresses in the next 2-3 weeks in BackerKit, so keep an eye out for any notifications.
